Dear Brother Dave,
On March 17, 1997, I saved a man's life. He was trying to commit suicide by jumping. He had lost his girlfriend, and his job, and he just didn't think there was anything left for him in life. He had even lost his trust in God. I started talking to him, telling him how much God loves him, and that God never left him. I told him the story of the footprints in the sand, and I asked him if he'd do something for me. I asked him to pray with me, and after the second prayer he started to cry. I pulled out my Bible and read a Bible verse to him. He came inside, and he confessed his sins to Jesus. He asked my to baptize him again. I blessed him, and gave him my Bible.
I saw him again the next day. He has reconciled with his girlfriend, and he's heard from a good friend, also. He starts a new job this coming Monday. Brother Dave, I have never felt so good.
May the Lord bless and keep each and every one of you.
(Note from Brother Dave: Reverend Rob was ordained into the ministry of The First International Church of the Web on March 15, 1997. The Lord didn't waste any time putting him to work! Praise God!)
Dear Brother Dave,
On December 18th, 1994, I went to Open Door Baptist Church at the invitation of my cousin. I wasn't even sure I wasn't saved or even what saved meant. But after the musical special they had for Christmas, our pastor gave an invitation to accept the gift of salvation offered in the Word of God. I responded as though guided by the Holy Spirit, and went forward, where someone showed me in the Bible how to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. That was about three years ago, and now I'm in our Bible institute learning the word of God, and teaching Sunday School, and going on missionary survey trips to see what God has for me in the way of full time service. God Bless.
